  1. Hmm.

From the subject, I thought you were talking shop.

    as in workworkworkworkworkworkworkworkwork.

I have a cloud for a lakebed outside my window (down several hundred feet, and out out out where the freeway is. Odd.

I don’t have money or time for shopping. Are there other things to do?

    Workworkworkworkwork.

    Create?

I just slept through Saturday. Well, I got up for a few hours for an eye appointment…

Play with family. Have a picnic. Read books.

These require that we don’t leave the house, or we get sucked into the hell that is Scottsdale, or Chandler commerce.

Today I am going to limit myself to shopping only for food.

We’ve been able to kick Blockbuster! Did you know that BB is the only real video store in town? There are a few other chains, but not many independants. We’ve not been able to find any independants. grrr….

So we signed up for netflicks. For a mere $18, you get what ever movies you want for as long as you want. Bout as good as cable without all the crap to sift through 🙂

      1. boo blockbuster! yay netflix! Amy is boycotting blockbuster because they got rid of their “guaranteed in stock” promo, and what she wanted to see wasn’t findable for a few weeks. So now it’s hollywood video, er, well it was when we lived near them, now it’s Acton Video–nice to support a local. 🙂

I don’t really leave the house, myself. Stuff with family is relegated to free dinners.

Life is going to be very different when it happens. It. Some day. 🙂

        1. Damn. Life is what we make it, eh? So my life is work/shop/sleep.

Some day we won’t need to buy any more shit…meaning we’ll be all moved in and settled…and I’ll be able to get back to life.

What really sucks is that we have to buy another car just to goddamn function out here. We both need to be able to get around.

I’ve been squeeking buy by taking the bus to work. The draw back to that is if I want to get home before 7pm, Kim has to come get me. That is nice and a drag at the same time.

            Yeah.

Being all moved in and settled will be nice. At least, stage 1–everything put away, and blinds up, and furniture in the right spots. Amy wants to make fence + dog a high priority after that. I want to have a ropeladder to aid getting up the hill. Need to dig into the hill a bit to see what rock is there and how crumbly said rock is or isn’t (can it support stairs carved into it?)

Yeah, that bites big ones. I’m happy with my motorcycle, still. Very. Theoretically the next vehicle we buy will be “mine”, and will be required to have 4wd. I’m aiming for a subaru. Who knows?

            Ugh. Yeah.

During the school year, I get to carpool. Twisty mountain roads reading/working == carsick. Bus is expensive, too, though–do they have a monthpass or something?
